New Post @ True Superhero Fans: KEVIN FEIGE: DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS IS AN “ELEVATED HORROR FILM”

It’s a new year and I’m back at it again over at True Superhero Fans. This time I’ve put some of Ari Aster’s words in Kevin Feige’s mouth.

Feige clarified, “I wouldn’t necessarily say that’s a horror film, but it is, as Scott Derrickson, our director, has pitched it, it’ll be a big MCU film but it’s a little bit more of an elevated horror film, like Hereditary or that Us movie that the other theme park company put out. The people have spoken, they want dour spookfests with the contrast turned way down, and we want the respect of adult men that spend all day ‘dunking’ on us on Twitter.”

Takin’ shots at Film Twitter is probably my favorite part of this project.

When pressed for details, Feige elaborated, “The people that were on the crew, or even to the other people on the committee that makes these things, Scott would describe it as a family tragedy that curdles into a nightmare. And also MODOK is there and he’s voiced by Ratatouille.”

Okay, I take it back, my favorite part of this project is when people “eat the onion”
