    introLearn All About Humanstein

    What is Humanstein?

Me. I’m Humanstein. I guess Humanstein is also the name of this digital magazine, and it’s the name you can usually find me operating under just about everywhere on the internet (Twitter, LetterboxdInstagram, Tumblr, etc.).

My name is Nathan. I’m a 28-year-old digital marketing professional, but for our purposes, it’s probably more important that I’m a writer, film critic and enjoy damaging my body by way of food. In addition to my work here I’m also a contributed to Bloody Disgusting and Daily Grindhouse and am always on the lookout for freelance writing work.

Most specifically I’m obsessed with cinema, specifically horror movies. I also really love junk food and old cartoons (both terrible and wonderful). I’ve got some cats, a cool wife, a daughter, and a penchant for limited edition food.

Okay, so you’re Humanstein, but what is this site?

I’m really glad you asked, hypothetical reader.

Humanstein is a digital magazine with a broad focus on “Stuff Nathan Likes”. In more specific terms, that film, particularly horror movies, television, pop culture, and a healthy dash of nostalgia. Before you get too bent out of shape about the nostalgia thing, I promise I’m nostalgic for way weirder stuff than you’re thinking. I spend a lot of time thinking about hamburgers I can’t buy anymore and cereal that’s been discontinued for 15 years. That sort of stuff.

You’ll find my thoughts on the above subjects as well as anything else that gets me motivated enough to write.

    That sounds cool.

I knew you’d think so, hypothetical reader that likes all the same things I like.

In all seriousness, this blog is intended to celebrate the joy of film, fun, the absurd, the trivial, and the wonderful.

Hopefull,y you’re along for the ride, but I’m warning you now: it might get weird.
